Wonderful Adventures of Mrs. Seacole in Many Lands by Mary Seacole
3.5
Please keep in mind that this woman is foremost a nurse/doctress around 1855.
I will not rate her somewhat disjointed accounts and writing style.
Nor do I expect expert details on society, war and politics.
I enjoyed her conversational tone, her humour and the anecdotes of her daily life.
I would have liked to get more details on the medicinal cures and kinds of bandages Mrs Seacole administered in different settings. That would have made her accounts more interesting for me.
