Appalachian Daughter by Mary Jane Salyers

3.0

I enjoyed the first half of the book but it quickly became apparent that the main character is a total "Mary Sue." What isn't she good at? Basketball star, valedictorian, crazy good aim, most wanted girl in town... In fact, Maggie's only flaw was her mother. As a result, the character felt very flat and like she had no depth and very little character growth throughout the book.
