The Long Walk by Stephen King, Richard Bachman
3.0
Re-reading this Stephen King book (written under a pseudonym). While this is not my favorite King book, what I like about it is its simplicity. There's nothing supernatural at all. The plot is very simple - a group of 100 boys are part of The Long Walk contest wherein they must keep walking at at least a certain minimum pace or after three warnings they will be shot and killed. The last man standing wins. It is a tense and terrifying examination of human psychology and survival.
