I read this as an arc from NetGalley and...
no words were needed. It was a beautiful way to capture the fear, the sadness, and the loss, and in the end, the hope and happiness that was achieved. Even the thankfulness of the storyteller.

I feel this is a beautiful and healthy way to show children the experiences of another culture and teach them to empathize as children are very visual and uniquely imaginative. I enjoyed the collage and the metaphors with the ants. It was heart-sinking but beautiful.
