To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

3.0

To be honest, the only interesting part of this book is the trial and the ending. All the build up towards Arthur "Boo" Radley in the beginning and middle of the book was boring and made me lose interest. At the beginning of the book it makes since that it focuses more on details like on the history behind Maycomb and the Finch family, though I feel like when it's still focusing more on the details in the middle of the book it gets boring. Normally I don't have a problem with books that focus more on details than the actual plot, but with this book it just made it extremely dull. What made the book a little more interesting to me was that it takes place in the 1920-1930s. Other than that, the trial and the ending did somewhat make up for the rest of the book.
