I learned so much about certain time periods in American history that I had either forgot or not learned about it school. It was wonderful to read such a variety of story telling and different voices throughout history. I would highly recommend this book. I particularly liked the last story, and am interested to read more about the Democratic national convention in 1968. I never realized the horror and fear that was occurring during this time in America; it gave me a new perspective on my father who fought in the Vietnam war.
