Red Queen by Christopher Pike

I read this for free on Pulseit! This isn't the best written book I've read, nor the most exciting. But it was very intriguing and I loved the concept. What I loved most about this book was the pace at which information was revealed. You get just enough information to not get too frustrated, but you really know very little. Then slowly over the course of the book you are fed small bites of the secrets and workings of Witch World. Even by the end, I was satisfied with the conclusion, but then I remembered so many little details that were left out. And now I'm hooked. I'm curious about so many things and anxiously await reading the sequel. I think Jessie is a complex and interesting character with enough flaws to seem real and relatable but not too many to disconnect from her and not care about her struggles.
