I don't read much middle grade as you guys have probably seen, but I saw @alexandra_roselyn mention this book on her YouTube a while ago and I'm so glad I decided to pick it up.
This book basically goes between 2 timelines and at first I didn't connect the two in my mind, but once I did I really enjoyed the concept and the evolution from one to the other. Also, uhm hello! This book is pretty dark! I didn't realise middle grade dug this deep!
This is definitely going to stay on my shelves for when my daughter is old enough to read it as it was such an exciting read. The concept is just so fun and magical.
