A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle

1.0

A couple of months ago I was at the theater waiting for my movie to start. A trailer played that had me absolutely excited - at least until the "A Wrinkle In Time" title appeared. I remembered reading this book in middle school and hating it, but since I have changed my mind about a lot of books with age I thought I would give this one another chance.

As it turns out, I still struggle with this book. I find the main character, Meg, absolutely unbearable as she spends most of the book either complaining about herself/her situation or yelling at others. I appreciate a flawed character facing tough times, but this just seemed excessive. I know that both this book and this character are very dear to many people, I just cannot make the same connection.
