I haven’t read many pirate books, mostly because pirates don’t interest me very much.
But I will fully admit that I gave book 1 a chance because of the pretty edges.
Book 2, surprisingly, didn’t suffer from the issue sequels can, especially in a trilogy. We met new characters, received more insight into Alosa’s powers and her crew. And I loved the descriptions in the book.
This was an adventure on the high seas that I greatly enjoyed!
