Two Wheels Good: The History and Mystery of the Bicycle by Jody Rosen

informative medium-paced

3.25

Starting out with an introduction to the bicycle's history and its role as a tool for social and political change throughout history, this book transitions into a collection of essays about the two-wheeled machine. The self-contained nature of each chapter makes it easy to pick and choose content to your interest, and some are certainly more interesting than others.
My personal favorites included the chapters on cycling in Bhutan, rickshaw drivers in Bangladesh, the bicycle as a tool for protest, and the author's own experience cycling.
