The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks: The Young Reader's Edition by Gregory Mone, Rebecca Skloot

4.0

I thought that overall this book was really great. I think that what Rebecca sKloot tried to do is awesome. Henrietta Lacks has contributed so much to science and medicine and has received very little recognition for that. Without her, and her strange and immortal cells, we would not have many vaccines information regarding various diseases. Giving the family a chance to learn about Henrietta, while also telling their story, made for a very interesting and sad book. The Lacks family deserves so much more than the little they've gotten.
