The Nesting by C.J. Cooke

Reaaaally thought I’d enjoy this one, it has all the good points ticked- nordic? Checked. Nanny with pain in the A kids? Checked. Haunted basement in a house nowhere on the radar? CHECKED!!
Sadly i enjoyed only the first half of the book. The latter part should not be that long!! I dragged myself to finish this one. I like the idea, but the execution was a too extensive. The first part was a fast read for me, i was invested to the storyline and got some chills along the way. It was not a bad read, but it could’ve been better (it could’ve been shorter) though the plot was promising, at some parts i was lost in direction. The different timeline was not confusing, but not straightforward either.
But overall it was an average read for me, a bit sad since this books has been in my tbr list ever since it was published.
