The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot

3.0

Several people recommended this book to me when I moved to Baltimore.

I started with the Kindle version and I enjoyed it until it got into the weeds a bit with the science and research. I switched to the audiobook and found myself zoning out a bit during those parts, but I was very interested in the story of Henrietta's family.

I wish it had been about 25% lighter on the science parts, but it was an interesting look at the history of medical research and specifically the mistreatment of Black patients.
