This was a birthday gift from Seb and Bella (who has yet to steer me wrong) and it is absolutely a book to read in one sitting if you can. It’s described as a ghost story and while it is unsettling, it feels simplistic to describe it that way. “Fever Dream” is the most accurate description I can think of, conveniently. I wanted to reread it the moment I’d finished it so I could try to better put together the fragments of the narrative. Truly an incredible read, halting and hazy but pulling you along the whole time.
