Glitterland is full of sex and emotional upheaval. Ash is a successful author with “type 1 bipolar depressive with clinical anxiety disorder.” He’s attending a friend’s stag party when he notices a very attractive, sparkly man, Darian across the room. They end up hooking up, at least that’s what Ash tells himself, but there’s something about Darian he just can’t forget…his “glittering pirate.” Darian with his very strong Essex accent and an innocent sweetness that is opposite Ash and his posh friends has woken something in Ash he thought was long dead.
