3.7 I like getting backstory on Dane's character but this is just not my favorite series by Ms. Pierce. I find the characters interesting but they lack the connection to the reader that you have with Alanna and Kel.
Note: This audio book version was much more enjoyable than the first in this series. I'm glad they stopped/decreased the weird echo microphone portions. I also liked knowing that the author was the narrator. I'd have been content with her reading the whole book but I'm sure that is time consuming.
