The world building is a bit weird. It’s basically a matriarchy (witches) vs. patriarchy story (religious men). And the characters themselves also often use the terms. Which feels very off considering it’s more of a medieval fantasy world otherwise.
I did really like the way magic works in this story.
I wish the main couple would have been shown to spent a bit more time together. They only knew each other for a few weeks before they were so in love that they would sacrifice their life for each other. However they were also enemies so they had like 2 weeks to actually fall in love? I’m not a fan of basically instand deep love when it comes to enemies to lovers.
