“If the Grinch can steal it; It isn’t Christmas.” I wasn’t sure if I could skip 7 books to get to the Christmas book when this became available from the library, but Google seemed to indicate this was a stand-alone book. (I would agree with this.) When I started, I remembered why I hadn’t been able to continue with the series. Becky Brandon (née Bloomwood) is quite a character. She can be so over the top, almost cringeworthy, but it was a lovely story and I’m glad I stayed with it until the end. The above quote is one of the most perfect ways to summarize Christmas that I have ever heard.
