The Treasure Principle: Unlocking the Secret of Joyful Giving by Randy Alcorn

4.0

The treasure principle is about generosity and what that does for you and faith. I can't say much of it was new to me but it was well presented and quite concise. I often see faith books filled up with much more than is needed to get to the point but Alcorn stays pretty straightforward and presents the information in a clear and concise manner which I appreciated.
One of the prime focuses in the book is on "storing treasures in heaven" but it is hard to define what that even means. That is a passage from the Bible I have been trying to understand for ages. Unfortunately, Alcorn did not shed some light on it for me but I don't blame him for that.
I do want to be more generous and so I like reading books like this to remind me to not get complacent and be on guard for my prevalence to want to look out for myself only.

I listened to the audiobook and it was of good quality. Although the hard copy might be better if you want to use the study questions in the back of the book.
