WOW! This took me by surprise! I did not expect to like this this much! This book is 100% worth it and absolutely hits every mark that I look for in a good fantasy romance read! Epic adventure, Fae, vampires, zombies, fated mates, mythical creatures, other worlds with a slight sci-fi touch, ancient deities and more! A very well execute exciting plot with great adventure, swordplay and battles! And the spice works perfectly with the plot. It’s not overdone. It didn’t make me roll my eyes because it was too much. When the scenes did come, it was powerful! Steamy banter, slight slow burn and everything! Found family with fun, witty banter that I actually laughed a few times in this book as well! It’s not a comedy, but I love the comical relief here, and there that just adds to it. Sweet little furry, sidekick, and everything! The twist at the end absolutely had me undone! I did not see it coming and I’m very pleased! I Will be biting my fingernails down to the nubs till book 2 comes out! This is probably my top favorite read so far of 2024! Absolutely worth the hype 100%! Will I be finishing the series? Oh yes absolutely! It’s actually painful to wait lol! Can’t wait for more!

Enjoy my bookish friends and remember if you love/like a book talk about it!
PS. Kingfisher is one of my top favorite shadow daddies! Right up there with Rhysand and Casteel Da’Neer!
