I always enjoy reading novellas because they give you insight into characters and the reason why they act a certain way because of past experiences. I enjoyed reading about the early days of the queens and I found it interesting to read about the reason why their mom chose to switch their gifts at birth.
The second story was about the Mad Queen which I found to be a more interesting story than the first one. You got to read about how much power The Black Council really has and how little lies can turn into much bigger problems and issues. Definitely an interesting read if you like this series, especially since you can read about the Mad Queen that’s referenced so much in the series.
