B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth, Vol. 8: Lake of Fire by Mike Mignola, Tyler Crook, John Arcudi

5.0

Like so many other people I became a fan of HB because of the way Mignola turned so many tropes on their head. The initial attraction was linked to my interest in gothic horror, Lovecraft, Stoker and so on. Now they've moved into the post-apocalyptic landscape that feels like equal parts The Stand and The Mouth of Madness. Fascinating, compelling, readable and above all else, SCARY.
