I really enjoyed the first book, The Wizards of Once, but I enjoyed this second instalment even more. Everything deepens: the plot, the world, the characters. The themes - learning to embrace/overcome differences, that adults can learn just as much from children as children can learn from them, the importance of breaking free from/striving to break free from cycles of history - are both timely and timeless. I've already pre-ordered my copy of the next (and possibly final?) instalment.
