I know, objectively, that this is a very will written and translated novel. I think it’s a case of “it’s not you it’s me” because the fever-dream like quality of the story telling, paired with the difficult (for me) names and places… created more confusion about the story line that it probably would have for another reader. 

Regardless, I walked away from this one feeling.. meh about it.
