I hadn’t read any of Austen’s juvenalia except for Lady Susan before picking up this gem. It’s surprisingly delightful! You can see the beginnings of the incredible author she was working on becoming, but her sense of humor had yet to hone itself to the razor-sharp wit for which she is known. I had so much fun reading this!
