There's a moment sometimes when you're reading a book, when you know that this book is going to become one that you constantly reference or think about, and one that you know you're going to have to come back to time and time again.

This book has been one I've been putting off for quite some time because I so naïvely wrote it off as something that wouldn't appeal to me or would be too silly or cringey, and frankly, rolled my eyes at the constant praise this book was receiving. But then, in the midst of a period of darkness, this book made its way to me once again and I had the sense to finally take a chance on it. And wow, I am so glad I did.

Thank you, Casey McQuiston, for bringing me into a small and beautiful story of love and hope and taking chances when the circumstances around me seemed lacking of all those things.

The perfect comfort read, and a wonderful queer fairytale about two boys who believed they deserved happiness, despite a world telling them otherwise.
