Fighting to Survive by Rhiannon Frater

2.0

Both better and worse than its predecessor. The writing was smoother, you can tell this was a sophomore effort, but I felt the characterization really dropped and in some cases became quite cliche. Didn't understand why Katie (the former lesbian now bisexual) becomes so soft just because she hooks up with a man. Frater sometimes relies too much on charicatures and stereotypes for her minor characters and it drags the book down from something that could be much more than just a typical zombie book. However the action kept me reading to the next chapter and she paces the book quite well.
