First in a duology, so book leaves a number of threads hanging. I might have preferred to wait and read it until the second was available. Writing is excellent. World building is nifty. I picked the book up to read just a bit when I was about halfway done…and stayed up way too late to finish it. Really drew me into the world and I’ll be reading the next one when it’s published.
Graphic: Misogyny and Police brutality
Minor: Homophobia, Religious bigotry, and Abortion
