This book blew me away! I can't stress enough how pleasantly surprised I am by this novel. For Your Own Good is the first Samantha Downing book I've ever picked up, and I am officially in love with how she writes. I have no idea how, but Downing managed to give me a slow-burning thriller with the heat and passion of a page-turner. If you think poison is a boring manner of killing, I'd be with you, but then I'd hand you this book. Downing makes poisoning wicked interesting. I can't pick a favorite character, honestly, they were all so wonderful. Each person was morally grey and the unique point of view gives us perfect insight into why. I'm more than likely going to buy a physical copy to annotate; I'm that obsessed with this book.
