This book was very okay. I’ve read three books by this author now and they are always rated very high and in my recommended based on books I love. The other books have been okay but this is by far the worst. I just found the story hard to follow and none of the friendship or couples realistic. Most interactions were “you’re weird” and now we are friends. The character Avery is continuously described as a good friend, which I guess she is because she immediately decided the main character was her good friend at first sight? I feel like the love interests rarely spoke and then he was in love with her. I normally like when characters decided to separate to deal with their baggage, but they just broke up for a month and she lost some weight and then they got back together. I don’t think she really worked through anything. Colton was my favourite character and his commentary was the only thing I looked foreword too. Also nothing dug to deep, what’s up with summers parents marriage, what’s up with maggie, what’s going on with Claudia? I guess maybe I just didn’t get this book.
