5.0

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: 100 Real-Life Tales of Black Girl Magic by Lilly Workneh, Jestine Ware, Diana Odero, and Sonja Thomas.

This was an amazing book!!

First and foremost this book is all about Black Girl Magic (#blackgirlmagic) and is illustrated by over 60 black female and non binary artists, written by four black female authors (Lilly Workneh, Jestine Ware, Diana Odero, and Sonja Thomas) and edited and forwarded by CaShawn Thompson, the creator of the term Black Girl Magic!

This was a wonderful read. Reading about women I knew of, and women I did not know of and am now pleased and grateful to know of. So many women who have done fantastic things that I had not heard of before and deserve to have their stories shouted from the rooftops.

I have not got any children of my own yet, but my best friend has a wonderful five year-old girl who would love to hear about these amazing women of colour and I'm defiantly going to be purchasing a copy of this book so these wonderful women's stories can continue to be heard and shared with the new generation.
