Tokyo Ghoul: re, Vol. 10, by Sui Ishida
4.0
Loads of cool new developments here, with battle lines being drawn and tactics getting drastic. Furuta's plan is so underhanded; I like how he's snuck in as a villain. (What was with that , though...)
We finally catch up with Kaneki again here. I like how the new directions his arc is taking always hark back to moments in the earlier series. He comes up with a plan involving, and it continues the whole playing-the-lead-role-in-a-play analogy he's associated with. It also recalls his torture by Yamori. The confrontation with Naki was overdue and nicely done. I also appreciate that Kaneki's lingering trauma is addressed in .
Special mention again to Urie's character development. In this volume, he. I didn't like him at first, but he's come a long way and become yet another character I am rooting for.
One thing that does bother me is the way gay characters are represented. We have Nico making a reappearance - I've mentioned him before - and there was also a bizarre scene where. I mean, what the hell?
