Gender Queer: A Memoir by Maia Kobabe

emotional hopeful informative inspiring fast-paced

4.75

This is such a great book to help people who are struggling with their gender identity see that others struggle too and find ways and resources for them to find answers. I also think a comic is the perfect way to read about these topics, especially if you are not educated on them, it’s much more approachable than a thick book. I know this book has been banned and a lot of conservatives don’t think it is appropriate for teens, but never seeing any information about people like you is dangerous. Kids can’t be totally alone in this world, it does not end well for them mentally or physically if they have no one to reach out to. This book also mentions other books to read as well, so that’s really awesome.
