The Long Game by Elena Armas
medium-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? Character
- Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes
2.0
It starts out enemies to lovers, but doesn't really make a strong case and abandons that pretext pretty quickly. The hero basically has zero flaws and wants to fix the heroine's low self-esteem and anxiety.
*mild spoilers ahead*
The main characters start acting couple-y about halfway through the book, but don't even KISS until about the 75% mark. Most of the book is them talking about their feelings and internal dialogues of how perfect the other person. It's just so unrealistic for how late 20-somethings would actually behave.
