Loved, loved, loved this. What an unexpected and brutal read. I found it while searching for books that deal with getting revenge on abusers, and it did not disappoint in that regard. It was everything I wanted and a lot that I didn't know I needed. I read it all in one night because I couldn't take a break to sleep.
Queerness, friendships so fierce and devoted that they would kill for each other, commentary on power and privilege and violent masculinity and the ways the justice system fails people. So, so good.
But such a difficult read. Gut punch after gut punch, and all the trigger warnings you can imagine apply. It starts off with a bang and doesn't let up from there. I can't recommend it enough as long as you think you can handle it.
