(February 2022) Audiobook: I loved getting to experience this story again with the audio version! This is a sweet and clean marriage of convenience story. However, Sally Britton really makes her characters earn their happy ending. Both need to grow, change, and learn some important lessons before they can finally experience marital bliss. The narrator for this audiobook did an excellent job, highly recommend!
(October 2021) I loved this sweet marriage of convenience story. Pippa (Phillipa) and Myles are two good people who meet at the beginning of the book and agree to marry for their mutual benefit. It was lovely to see their romance blossom. There's a cute scene near the beginning where Pippa realizes that she'd like to be rescued but it takes a bit longer for them to make the connection, too funny. Very slow burn, but so sweet when it all comes together. These two are totally MFEO. (Sleepless in Seattle, y'all) It was fun to see some characters from the Ingleside series as well. Content warning: soldiers dealing with PTSD
