Beneath The Silence is a masterclass in romance writing. Lashaun has undoubtedly penned the best book in her catalogue and arguably the best romance novel of the year. Hakeem and Eden are incredibly compelling and well-crafted characters that are both on a journey to realizing that despite the pain of their past, they too, are deserving of love.

With its heartbreakingly raw dialogue, well-developed plot, and a powerful message of knowing one’s worth, the fourth installment of The Things Unseen series solidifies K. Lashaun as an author that is not scared to bring realism into romance and whose work NEEDS to be on your radar. Her writing is full of feeling and the intimacy between our MC’s is unforgettable. Please be sure to heed trigger warnings as the content in some of these chapters is heavy, but is essential to the character depth and development throughout the novel.

The only criticism is that they were a few typos, but it did not put a single damper on my reading experience. This is the second time this author’s work has brought me to tears and I cannot wait to see how Hakeem and Eden develop in the sequel. Run, do NOT walk, over to Kindle Unlimited and download this series so you can get the full experience of falling in  love with Lashaun’s writing. Beneath the Silence is a story that will tap dance on your heart strings; the rhythm is one that is hauntingly addicting, but incredibly worth it.
