I received this as an arc from the author and my thoughts/ opinions are my own!
This book was a cute story. It’s a friends to lovers romance but the story line was definitely different from what I’ve read before. I really enjoyed it. The only thing that got to me was how redundant the first 30-45% of the book was. I understand that Blair had a big stuff up with Ford and it put a wrench in their relationship/ friendship but it felt like it was the only thing they talked about. But….when they finally got through it their story was entertaining.
The one thing that shocked me was the erotica. I pictured Ford as a nerdy, shy geeky type. So when he started telling Blair how good she tasted I was aghast! This is the perfect example of the shy guys are freaks cause he was really getting it in there lol.
All characters had some kind of development/ growth and I appreciated that. I’m not gonna lie it’s a slow burn and progress type book so I didn’t think they would’ve had much changes but I was pleasantly surprised by that. Overall I rated it 3.5 stars and I think it’s a cute palette cleanser between heavier books. And if I’m being honest I definitely think Ronnie and Miles have something going on and would love to read about it if it ever becomes a book. I just hope their story is more to the point and less beating around the bush.
