Sometimes I think Jamie Kelly might be the most relatable narrator of my generation. I mostly think this when I see the titles of the Dear Dumb Diaries and think, "God, Jamie, me too." This is my favorite of the series because I have had many a new kid come into schools I've attended and seem 3000 times cooler than I am currently. My tactic was usually just to ignore these new kids or befriend the weirder ones, but I suppose paranoia and blind hatred are effective coping mechanisms as well. Wait, am I Jamie Kelly in college? Mindblowing idea. We do share some of the same traits: brown hair, cynicism, a blonde frenemy...
