The Atikbar is a challenge open to all citizens to select the wardens that will rule for the next 10 years. Open to anyone with the right blood that is. When three young women from across the three races of the empire come together through love and friendship, they are swept along with the tide winds of change. I loved the queer enemies to lovers storyline, and I found the magical world building to be really well done. I’ve ordered the next book in the trilogy and I can’t wait to dig in!
