The Brief History of the Dead, by Kevin Brockmeier

3.0

I really liked the setup for this book. The first 1/4 of the book is fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the first several characters introduced. After the first 125 pages of this book it fizzled. Too many characters' points of view, most of which were only interesting as side characters, not as major drivers of the story. Ultimately, the conclusion centers on a whole chapter of hallucinations, which I hated reading. Please, no dreams and no hallucinations. They don't make for good story.
