I love this book so much. The world is so complex and you really get to know a lot about it without it feeling too dense. The characters are diverse and lovable and the plot is enjoyable too. I have to say this is definitely my guilty pleasure book and my "Roman empire" book. 
Also bonus points for the sapphic relationship that will unravel later on ;)
