From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back by Elizabeth Schaefer

5.0

Like the first book in this series, this takes place from the very beginning of The Empire Strikes Back to the very end. Short stories that tell the story but from secondary and tertiary (or further away) characters.

I loved the story of the Wampa that attacked Luke. The look into the life of Han's Tauntaun. The absolutely hysterical and very quick story of the Dragon Snake that tried to eat R2. I felt the loneliness of the space worm that temporarily housed the Falcon. Or the observations of the Dark Side Force on Dagobah and the med droid that reattached Luke's hand.

I found I liked those stories more than those of the humans, but all the stories were well done. Some made me laugh out loud, some made me sniffle. And all were read with skill by some of my most favorite narrators - Marc Thompson, Jonathan Davies, January Lavoy, Emily Zu Wheller. And I also found some new readers that I need to look into.

If you are a fan of Star Wars, especially Empire Strikes Back, do not pass this book up. I cannot wait for Return of the Jedi to come out now.
