Trigger warnings: Graphic sexual content involving a lack of consent, domestic abuse.
I can't for a moment claim this book was an enjoyable read, but it did definitely leave me thinking about a number of things regarding humanity, or the lack thereof. It was wildly uncomfortable much of the time and often left me wishing for a robot uprising in much the same way the video game Detroit: Become Human did. All of those things seemed to be the point, so I can't say I disliked the book, but I was also very relieved when I finished it. It left me unsettled in a way that books very seldom do.
