Many thanks to Audrey for the ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
Lexi is starting her sophomore year of college with pressure on herself to do good. Also pressure from her mom to join a sorority, which is the last thing she wants to do. She’s forced to pair up with a fellow student in her history class for a pretty big assignment, meets Tyler. The only issue? He doesn’t talk - to anyone. She figures out how to communicate with him and a friendship is formed. But things aren’t always as they seem and as their friendship develops, Tyler starts to open up to Lexi. But something happens and things spiral out of control and Lexi is confronted with what’s next. Will she crumble or is she strong enough to power through?
First off, I absolutely loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. Audrey’s storytelling is captivating from the first page. Also I want to live in November Falls - seriously sounds like the most picturesque town!! Second, I don’t think I’ve ever cried harder in a book. The heartache of everything, ugh so well written and my heart was ripped out (in the best way possible). Though the book is only 254 pages, you’ll become attached to these characters really quickly! Thirdly, the secondary cast of characters Audrey created made me fall in love with them just as much as Lexi and Tyler. This book will stay with me for a long while and it will become a reread for many years to come. Highly recommend this book!!
One note of caution, there’s some pretty heavy triggers that Audrey lays out at the beginning of the book. Pay close attention to those before reading.
