My Rosebud Boy by Rainbow Rowell

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars

‘That night Simon lay with his head on Baz’s chest and his hand on Baz’s stomach, thinking about everything Baz had and hadn’t said.
And everything he didn’t wear on his sleeve.
‘Will you tattoo your name over my heart?’ Simon whispered.
‘No’ Baz whispered back.
‘What if I come back to you in six months, and I still want it?’

the classic florist/tattoo artist au mixed with the simon snow universe? brilliant!

fun little story, with well done banter and cute art (featuring great line work!) this story made my day just a little bit brighter.

‘Asters.
Amaranths.
A unicorn with a wreath of roses.
Penny got a tarot card tattooed on her ankle, and she cried like a baby.
Simon met Baz’s aunt, but not his father. And Simon’s grandmother stuffed Baz with cake.
Simon still had space left on his thighs…
On his left hand…
On the back of his neck…’

it also gave me a weird amount of closer for the series/snow for christmas…
