Did not finish book.

It is not often I rate a book below 3 stars publicly. I actually do my best to not as books are subjective and someone will usually like it more than I will.
However. I had to dnf this book. I'm not new to dark romance. In fact. It's my favorite genre and I haven't ever not finished a book based on content that was simply too dark. I do not feel the author warning here was ample enough and it does not sit right to not say something. Please know that reading this book is not for the faint of heart and child sa is a lot more severe than the note for the trigger may seem. It starts on page 1 and goes for several chapters. As stated, I did not finish and do not plan to finish or return to this. I think the author note should reflect the severity to the reader on what they are getting into. And hope this is seen by a few readers so they know exactly what they are getting into here. The FMC is 16. She's shackled and raped repeatedly for several chapters. Do not read if this type of content in any way bothers you. To my knowledge there is not other trigger list aside from the brief authors note
