Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding
5.0
I listened to this as an eBook rather than reading it; so it did take a few minutes to acclimate to the writing style. I believe if I had been reading it, I would have fell into the style quicker.
The book is written just like a diary with entries for various days of the year. It covers one year of Bridget's life, but like us, Bridget doesn't remember to fill in every day, so this is about 1/3 of the normal size novel.
Bridget will definitely make you laugh as she navigates her way through being a singleton, dealing with friends who keep asking when will she find a guy, dealing with her job, her boss (who is a cad), dinner parties where dress codes are changed and not communicated, new job, friends, parents, and more.
