The Incredible Hulk by Jason Aaron, Volume 1 by Jason Aaron

2.0

Marc Silvestri (artist) is spectacular! I love his style! Without him I wouldn't have enjoyed the book as much as I have. His pencil sketches are something to see (the good bits are saved for last!)

The story was interesting and a definite twist from the OG. The scene where the Hulk has his final showdown with Banner will stick with me for a while - the imagery was great.

I didn't like Amanda von Doom, though. She was just a conveyor belt delivering mediocre quips dressed in a pretty package with buoyant boobs, and as much as I like good art that didn't save her from getting on my nerves. Geez, not all girls are catty or sassy, or randomly shout bits about nerdy sexual fantasies (although that was a bit funny in how the writers acknowledge what their fanbase may do when presented with a sexy woman in a comic book).
